This Chevy-commercial of an album matches recent years' New Country Jesus offerings such as Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel," Tim McGraw's "Drugs or Jesus," Josh Turner's "Long Black Train" or Brad Paisley's "When I Get Where I'm Going" which 33M cover here. Not as rich as the above, 33M's youthful simplicity hints at a genre adaptation. Unlike the flood of Christian-tinged country, this debut is more country-tinged CCM. The caliber of inspirational ballads is a second surprise. "Hold On," "Salvation Has A Name" and "The Best Man" are capable of becoming the next wave of preferred power anthems a la Nicole Mullen's "Redeemer" or MercyMe's "I Can Only Imagine."
