4:21...The Day After (Edited)
by Method Man
Released: Jul 2006
Method Man delivers his strongest performance since his debut, reminding us that while he may not be the top lyricist in the Wu, he is one of the most charismatic emcees in the game. "Dirty Mef" finds him collaborating with fallen soldier ODB, while Raekwon and La the Darkman deliver the goods on "The Glide." The album is refreshingly raw and dirty -- a distinct switch after the wannabe club anthems of Prequel, Meth's previous release. Kwane, Erick Sermon and RZA handle most of the production duties, and their work here is generally excellent.
