Can you believe that Ringo Starr was the only Beatle to ever record a Christmas themed long player? First released in 1999, the album sounds unsurprisingly touched by the Fab Four, though Starr was the only original mop-top to appear here. The title track flows more like a Beach Boys-inspired ditty, but the opening swagger of "Come On Christmas, Christmas, Come On" shines more like glitter than tinsel with its double-drenched vocal slapback, buzzing T. Rex-esque guitars and a platform heel stomping drum beat that sounds stolen from the stocking of Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll (Part 2)."
