Despite the long wait for fans, The Open Door's platinum-selling arrival in 2006 cemented Amy Lee and Co.'s spot as the de facto leaders of female-fronted, goth-tinged radio metal. Regardless of any purist complaints, opener "Sweet Sacrifice" has undeniable charms: Lee puts in a tour de force of a performance, the guitars are heavier than anything on Fallen and the chorus demands you scream along. "Lithium," "Cloud Nine" and "Call Me When You're Sober" all saw action on the charts, but don't skip the guitar freak-out in "Weight of the World."
