Hard to tell exactly where an extra 30 seconds found their way onto this alternate version of the Doors hit, but that won't stop completists from swooping down on the six-CD Perceptions boxed set it's taken from. While the boogie-guitar intro and brilliant horn line remain unforgettable, it amazes us that to this day a song with such a schmaltzy vocals and limp string section remains one of the band's most popular tunes.
