"Drink all day/cuz the country's at war," Damon Albarn warbles on the second single from his second super-group, and if the rest of the lyrics suggest more than they ever actually say, that doesn't really matter since he's singing like Ray Davies again. Besides, all the atmosphere you need is provided by the stabbed piano, narcoleptic bass and ominous guitar, which sound even more grimly bemused than our narrator as he watches ravens fly across that big thing in the night sky that almost rhymes with doom.
