No Shouts, No Calls
Released: May 2007
Label: Too Pure
The net result of a summer long recording session in Berlin during the frenzy that was the World Cup of Soccer in 2006, No Shouts, No Calls is 11 songs of solid, experimental indie rock and probably Electrelane's best work to date. An ideal pick for the album's lead single, "To the East" exemplifies the band's new direction with its sing-a-long, catchy crooning and driving rhythm section. Other gems include the explosive "Between the Wolf and the Dog," the organ laden "Tram 21" and the instant weekend party jam, "Saturday."
