Given the colossal success of their breakthrough, it makes sense that The Wedding's sophomore record opens with singer Kevin Kiehn singing about standing before a crowd. He offers a simple challenge: "Lay your life down at the alter/ Let me see how serious you are." Like the rest of Polarity, the call to the Christian life comes with heavy backbeats, half-time breakdowns, and a veritable avalanche of pick slides. The Godzilla riff of "It's Time to Rock, OK?" is a highlight, as is the catchy "Fireworks," which seems the product of a band called Matchbox 21, until the inexplicable fiddle solo.
