Ron Carter, our greatest living bassist, pays homage to his old boss, Miles Davis. Miles made the young members of his 1960s group stars (besides Carter, it included Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter). Carter pays it forward by surrounding himself with his young working band. They are awesome and, along with Miles' spirit, help the bassist experiment more than his recent (ever beautiful) efforts.
