Had Jens Lekman been born into an era when Alan Freed and his like were dons of the American airwaves he would have a sure fire radio hit with this rave-up. A swinging saxophone theme jumps from its opening measures like out of an iridescent juke box while boogie-woogie rim shots keep time. Lekman's lyrics depict a vision of leisure time in rural Sweden, his native country, not unlike that of Norman Rockwell Americana -- except for that Lekman's observations are half earnest and half burlesque. The Big Bopper would have never sang, "So this is what they do out here for fun, they play bingo and let their engines run."
