With the release of Confrontation in 2005, Soilent Green rose above the strife of two van accidents, a long hospitalization for singer Ben Falgoust, the tragic murder of bassist Scott Williams, the death of early frontman Glen Rambo in Hurricane Katrina and the devastation of their hometown in that awful disaster. Required listening for fans of the band and for fans of extreme metal in general, to say the least. When it comes to metal that goes too fast, peels off in too many directions and never comes down a notch from shrieking insanity, Soilent Green have pretty much zero peers.
