Hvarf - Heim

Two years on from 2005's Takk, Iceland's biggest band issues a double-EP set destined to send its more reverent fans into orbit. Heim ("home," if your Icelandic is a tad rusty) features acoustic live versions of some of their Mum/Cocteau Twins-esque "hits," which is nice, but Hvarf ("disappeared" or "haven") is the mother lode, containing never-before-recorded songs from their live act. One such show in the companion film to this package, Heima, finds the band live in a disused fish factory in the icy wastes of Djupavik. We're not making this up.
