Back in their 1990s heyday, Max Loderbauer and Tom Thiel made music that fluctuated between downtempo ambient chill and percolating techno heat, a temperament matched only by The Orb. So it's no surprise that Orb part-timer Thomas Fehlmann is one of the remixers of "Toninas," off 2007's Lost and Found collection of unreleased SE tracks. The Fehlmann and Daniel Meteo mix is definitely on the atmospheric side. Thankfully, Ricardo Villalobos takes the other path, delivering a 13-minute monster with a lacerating kick drum, endless pans and more random percussion than a spilled silverware drawer.
