This Seattle gang has been around in one form or another since 1984. They're to be commended for aiming for actual anthems, with chunky early '80s Brit-style metal melodies soaring like eagles. This long-in-the-tooth 2008 album is consistently potentially catchy, though the hooks frequently tend to lose footing. As often as not, the tough-guy-goes-to-opera-school stuff makes them feel more cumbersome than you'd hope.
