Featuring the massive MTV hit "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," the 1986 debut from these Southern rockers works as a bridge from the salad days of the genre (Skynyrd) to its resurgence, however modest, in the '90s (Black Crowes). Chunky, boogie-ing rhythms, solos for which Chuck Berry might demand royalties and a reverence for the tenets of Southern rock -- namely, drankin', fightin' and goin' all the way -- make for an infinitely unpretentious album. Rod Stewart fans will want to check out the cover of "Every Picture Tells a Story."
