Abba's genius with pop is such that most cover versions fall prey to accusations of gilding the lily. Not so with Erasure, who have their own resident pop expert in Vince Clarke. Here he takes four perfect songs and gives them the Vince n' Andy treatment: catchy electro beats and piles of camp. Seek out the "Take A Chance On Me" video to see the boys in full drag (and--shock--Vince actually smiling) doing a shot-by-shot homage to the Swedish gods. Now that's entertainment.
