Winston combines original material and classical favorites into quiet extended work that approximates the feeling of being in a still, firelit room looking out at falling snow. The kids probably don't enjoy this one coming out, but December is a perfect match for stressed-out adults who can't take another overly cheery chorus of "Frosty the Snowman."
