In all the bands Sammy Hagar has belonged to over the years, he has never been the most talented musician or the dominant personality. Yet every single one became a vehicle for the Red Rocker's tequila-soaked brand of good-times hard rock. This was true of Montrose and Van Hagar, and it's now true of Chickenfoot, a supergroup also boasting Joe Satriani, Van Halen icon Michael Anthony and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer, Chad Smith. This debut album is at times lewd and crude, but it's always rocking.
