With multi-tracking solo improvisations performed on strings and guitars, Skelton weaves his lines through a blur of reverb and pastoral field recordings like golden thread. Recorded in the wake of his wife's death, the album is shot through with an unmistakable sense of longing, but it also conveys an uncanny sense of calm. With no song structures to guide you, there's nothing left but to slip inside its peaceful thrum.
