Here is Colombia's prodigal daughter, fresh from She Wolf's futurepop and rediscovering herself in Spanish. And yes, Shakira sounds torn: She's both the emotive singer-songwriter and the go-to global party chick, but the alternating currents mean there's something for everybody. If "Mariposas" and the title track are road-trip sing-alongs, "Loca" and its ilk (songs with Pitbull and Dizzee Rascal, and Calle 13's Residente on standout "Gordita") tap into her seething sexuality. "I really can't help it if I make the lady loca," sings Dizz; we hate to remind him she got there by herself.
