With guest shots from Yo Gotti, Devin the Dude and Big K.R.I.T., Tha Thug Show is like a low-budget version of a Rick Ross gangsta rap epic (Ross himself makes an appearance on "How We Do It"). Slim Thug excels when he sticks to Houston gangsterism, from the urban decay of "Coming From" to the classic H-Town slump of "Neighborhood Supa Stars." His attempts at urban radio crossover with "Free" and "Celebration" don't sound as convincing, though he manages a smooth flow on the extended come-on "So High" with B.o.B.
