On their third album, the Dutch duo Kraak & Smaak continue to follow the funk like a lodestone. If anything, Electric Hustle is more dancefloor oriented than their last album; whether they're disco breaks or coiled house thumps, the grooves feel trackier and more geared to the club. But that doesn't mean they don't have range: "Wasted With a Smile" is a languid bossa nova, while "Call Up to Heaven" looks to '60s soul. But they never let you forget, as one title has it, "My Synths Are the Bomb."
