What's gayer (in the most fabulous possible sense) than a movie about drag queens lip-syncing across Australia (in a camper christened Priscilla Queen of the Desert) to the tune of pop songs? Uh, a stage musical version of said film, featuring drag queens who at times actually sing their own over-the-top impressions of standards like "What's Love Got to Do with It?" and at times lip-sync while a gospel Greek chorus called The Divas belts out fierce-with-a-capital-(high-)F versions of disco anthems. The American version of this show includes a serious Cyndi Lauper and Madonna infusion.
