Tyler, the Creator and Left Brain produce choppy synth beats for visceral emotions about suburban anomie. Tyler's "Bastard" is a bitter confessional told from a psychiatrist's couch, his "VCR" is a violent sex fantasy, and Domo Genesis' "Rolling Papers" celebrates weed while bragging about how "labels want to hire us." Alt-soul groups Jet Age of Tomorrow ("But She's Not My Lover") and The Internet ("They Say") lend variety to this grimy blog rap exercise.
