Made In Stoke 24/7/11 might be billed as a solo release, but as with most of Slash's solo output, it's a creature of collaboration. In this sense he's a lot like Jeff Beck, who has made a career out of working with rotating musicians, including lead singers. This time around Slash's frontman is Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy. The guy has several pairs of big shoes to fill, considering he tackles songs from Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, respectively. He does a fine job, though if you grew up with GnR you'll probably reject the guy just out of pure nostalgia. Unfair, but true.
