Space Homestead (Explicit)
MV & EE

Woodsist
Sonically speaking, Space Homestead isn't a radical departure for MV & EE. The music continues to reflect the duo's love for cosmic candy and raga pastoralism: Neil and the Farinas consoling post-Syd Floyd and post-Peter Fleetwood Mac. That said, melancholy stains every tune. On "Sweet Sure Gone," M.V. attempts to hide his sense of loss (whatever it may be -- he's vague about that) in a cloud of bummer reverb. But he ain't fooling nobody. Of course, he himself knows this, because on the very next track he meditates openly and nakedly about "sh*t's creek" and how it's a "funny place to be."
