Released on the Notown label, the EP still bears the hallmarks of Border Community: shuffling drums, juicy analog tones, twitchy triplets and nervous arpeggios. “Modern Driveway,” “Hand Drawn Maps” and “Carrage” pair stripped-down club rhythms with analog tones in a way that suggests crystal tumblers overflowing with a strange, luminous brew; the rest is a film score waiting for an appropriately sun-kissed dream sequence.
