In the three years following Jamie Jones' debut album, Don't You Remember the Future, the British producer became one of the most celebrated DJs on the circuit joining Ibiza, London and Los Angeles. The moody, slightly dour deep house he championed has become widespread, but his follow-up, also for the Crosstown Rebels label, shows that he does it better than most. Rubbery bass lines and skeletal disco grooves abound, shaded by subtle synths, distant voices and just the right amount of dissonance. Sultry rarely felt quite so sinister.
