Baker's last set for Riverside finds him exploring Lerner & Lowe tunes with the help of Bill Evans, Herbie Mann, Zoot Sims and Pepper Adams. The LP is full of the kind of intertwining counterpoint soloing that brought Chet to fame when he was playing with Gerry Mulligan's pianoless quartet, though by this time he was a junkie suffering a critical backlash.
