Bryce Avery's vocals feel fresh from a spirited Generation X Broadway show (think Rent), with periodic punk exultations that sound like someone's squeezing him. Few may have heard of his band, even though this is album No. 2, but Avery deserves applause for writing every song and playing every instrument. He's inarguably unique and a great cult classic candidate.
