Is it humanly possible that Frankie Valli produced even one forgotten side? The dude was a hit-producing factory for three decades; his piercing falsetto monopolizes oldies radio. Yet Rhino makes a convincing argument that just about any of these 20 chestnuts would've done equally well had it been released as a single instead of, say, "Walk Like a Man" or "Sherry." There are really no surprises here; just proof that Valli's Italian-American doo-wop formula could've been milked twice as hard as it was.
