Dawn was a subsidiary of Pye records that was started in order to focus on the more progressive side of things. As this comp shows, the label amassed a strong collection of material outside the prog rock realm. The music falls more on the pastoral side, with excellent material offered up by Trader Horn, folk weirdos Comus, and underrated folk-singer David McWilliams.
