There's something weirdly appropriate about hearing bodhrans (Celtic drums), pipes and Irish vocalizations on Christmas carols. They're old songs, and the slow; stately pace of an Irish air suits them. Cherish the Ladies give a crystalline reading of "O Holy Night;" also hear "The Distressed Soldier/Angels We Have Heard On High," "The Wexford Carol" and "Three Kings."
