Heartworn Highways is the amazing companion album to what is unarguably the best documentary about country music ever made. Larry Jon Wilson's "Ohoopee River Bottomland" is a boogie-twang number that will have you tappin' your toes, but hearing a young Townes Van Zandt sing the somber "Waitin' 'Round do Die" (which was first song he ever wrote) is jaw-dropping.
