One little quote from Sex and the City has been turned into a whole freaking feature film. Whether you're into the movie or not, the soundtrack is quite satisfying. All the ingredients for a Hollywood dramedy are fulfilled: An innocuous mix of adult alt (Corinne Bailey Rae, Wilco, Keane) provides the soul; a few modern alternative hits (the Ting Tings and Lily Allen) bring the hip factor; a healthy dose of '80s classics (the Human League, Talking Heads, the Replacements, the Cure) offer nostalgia; and a Jeff Buckley cover (ScarJo) gives us the vital oh-no-she-didn't moment.
