Love & Rockets never got the mainstream acceptance of the Cure or the critical acclaim of their former group Bauhaus, but their influence runs just as wide. The range of artists on this tribute album is proof of that, reflecting the band's genre-jumping repertoire, from goth and post-punk to psych-pop and electronic. Opening with alt heavy hitters like Black Francis, who puts a raspy swagger into "All in My Mind," and Maynard James Keenan, who gives "Holiday on the Moon" an industrial makeover, the mix also includes big indie names (The Flaming Lips) and notable newbies (The Stone Foxes).
