Need a primer on lo-fi rock of the '90s? Well, look no further than Tard and Further'd. Originally released on the Siltbreeze imprint in 1997, this compilation contains a who's who of real indie rock, including name brands like Sebadoh and Guided by Voices, as well as such unsung mavericks as V-3, Mike Rep and the wonderfully titled Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments, all of whom hailed from one of indie's most fertile town: Columbus, Ohio. BTW, be sure to crank that nasty Halo of Flies jam.
