Alice Coltrane

This 1970 effort showed just how proficient a composer Coltrane had become. Thanks to the grandiose drones and Coltrane's own melodious harp playing, the record has the feel of an Eastern-style improvisation, but with enough tuneful ideas to keep the momentum going. Pharoah Sanders stays on the meditative side throughout.
