After flirting with pop on Cuando El Corazon Se Cruza, Villareal returns to what she does best: classic ranchera shot through with horns, strings and that ineffable Mexican melancholy. With 10 new songs written specifically for her by Joan Sebastian (who also produced the album), her voice sounds a little thinner than usual, but she charms nonetheless.
