Pop chanteuse Anastacia takes a cue from Anita Baker, a pointer from Macy Gray and then makes the rest up herself. The end result is indefatigable dance pop steeped in the can't-miss moves of the early '80s shot through with a modern sensibility. Nobody's ever gonna reprise the funk of Midnight Star's "No Parking on the Dancefloor," but Anastacia comes surprisingly close.
