Rhapsody

The score to this classic Western-cum-mystery with a social conscious (John Sayles has obviously seen this one a few times) was finally released by Rhino in 2005. Andre Previn's impressive score combines Copland-esque Americana with standard crime and cowboy movie motifs, for a result that is high in tension and underscores the irony surrounding small town values.
