Anna Nalick

On this cut from her debut record, Nalick sings with the world-weary sadness of someone much older. She seems to channel Fiona Apple and Tori Amos in equal parts, and there's more than a hint of Natalie Merchant's vocal phrasing. Her intricate wordplay shines through the standard studio production.
