Anti Pop Consortium

A left-field crew from N.Y.C., Anti-Pop's debut album is both inspiring and confusing. Eschewing traditional hip-hop formulas in favor of futuristic, minimalist abstraction and unique rhyme schemes, this is a challenging listen, but refreshing nonetheless. APC are not likely to score any major radio play or club hits, but their hyperoriginal style is definitely intriguing.
