Apostle Of Hustle

About

A vet of Canadian indie act Broken Social Scene, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Whiteman released his first effort as a solo artist, Fear of Zen, in 1995. But it wasn't until after a stay in Cuba that he joined Julian Brown and Dean Stone to put together the Latin-touched laptop rock project Apostle of Hustle. Whiteman is the group's primary creative force, and his distinctive guitar playing and vocals were signature qualities of the outfit's debut, Folkloric Feel, which was issued on the Arts & Crafts label in 2004. It was followed three years later with National Anthem of Nowhere.
