Washington, D.C., rapper Wale gets caught in the crossfire of a beat battle between legendary producer 45 King (Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life" and Eminem's "Stan") and New York upstarts DJ Ayres and in flagranti. While 45 King sticks to a more traditional sound for his versions of "Roof" and "Strings," DJ Ayres and in flagranti put a more electronic, futuristic spin on their respective remixes. Wale isn't a mere innocent bystander, though; he provides clever lyrics touching on everything from chasing skirts to the futility of street violence.
