An R&B trio that first appeared on Subway's 1994 single "This Lil' Game We Play," 702 have been quietly releasing albums ever since, never quite finding the mainstream success they deserve. On their third LP, Star, the group takes another shot at it, delivering strong, TLC-style vocals atop bubbling production. The Neptunes-produced title track is outstanding.
