Biography
Is there anything as relentless and brutal as Johnny Violent's Ultraviolence tracks? Likely not. Rubber, sledgehammer bass kicks create a disarray of your joints, making a chiropractic nightmare. His alarming synth noise and riffing dissonance easily rub elbows (or collide in the pit) with Earache labelmates such as Carcass and Napalm Death. Though tracks like "Immolation" and "I, Destructor" are dead serious, his singles -- the springy, too-happy "Heaven Is Oblivion" and cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" -- are certainly tongue-in-cheek.
