Audrey Assad

Audrey Assad has always been a standout, but not in the way most would want. Her free-spirited approach to life paired with a love of homework and marching band made her the odd-one-out growing up. In adulthood, those traits serve her well as an intensely honest singer-songwriter. An epiphany at age 19 found her working hard to make sure her musical gifts weren't squandered, and she pursued songwriting with the same drive and determination she used to apply to schoolwork. A cut on Chris Tomlin's Christmas album helped solidify her place in the Christian music scene before her debut even released.
