J Moss

Gospel singer-songwriter, composer, arranger and record producer James "J." Moss was born and raised in Detroit, Mich., where his music career started early. During his childhood, he toured with his father's group, Bill Moss and the Celestials, and with his cousin's group, The Clark Sisters. As a teen, Moss teamed up with his brother to form The Moss Brothers, a group that lasted for seven years. J. Moss released two albums before joining up with Paul Allen and Walter Kearney to form the music production company PAJAM. The partnership became known for a revolutionary blend of gospel and hip-hop, while Moss' solo efforts had a more traditional gospel feel.
