Selena's big brother hits the scene with the next incarnation of the Kumbia Kings -- now known as the Kumbia All Starz. Nobody can deny Quintanilla's talent, but Planeta Kumbia's a pretty strange album, suffused with a weirdly retro "futuristic" theme and skating through enough genres (many of them involving boy-band vocals) to leave you dizzy. When you get past the effects, parts of the album feel curiously dialed-down -- and they're all the more likeable for it. Go straight to the highlights: "A Puro Grito," "Vuelve" (with Mala Rodriguez!) and "Me Pase de Copas."
